Celebrated in Turin, Italy from February 10th to February 26th, 2006, this was the second time Italy hosted the Olympic Winter Games. The Olympic mascots of Torino 2006 were “Neve”, a female snowball, and “Gliz”, a male ice cube. The official motto of these XX Olympic Winter Games was, in true Italian style, «Passion lives here».
