Albertville, Marc’s first game and he will never forget that opening ceremony and the closing ceremony where they all danced in the middle of the improvised stadium…an absolute dream!
In fact Marc was so excited about these games he spent more money on his phone bills telling everyone he could about them, than he did on all his tickets combined!
More than 2,000 athletes converged on the quiet resort village of 20,000 and the surrounding Savoie Valley in pursuit of 57 gold medals. For the first time in Olympic history, the Games were spread over 10 venues, covering 618 square miles of the French Alps.
